"Your Partner in Charitable Giving."
Purpose and Mission
The general mission of a community foundation is to educate the community on how to leave or give money for the use of the Gravette community versus a single charity. No less important is its involvement in perusing grants as well as matching donors with specific projects that are important to them. Because opportunities are always plentiful for charitable giving, donors are often conflicted. A community foundation is the answer. The money stays in Gravette and is designated to specific projects as the donor directs. In the event of the dissolution of the organization that is due the gift, or if the donor doesn’t have a specific charity, the Gravette Community Foundation board will be entrusted with the funds and direct them as they see fit based on the requests submitted to them. The foundation will ideally become visible in the community and provide leadership and direction.
Gravette and NWACF
Our group believes the Gravette Community Foundation should be an independent 501(c)3 corporation. A fund being established with the Northwest Arkansas Community Foundation will function in cooperation with the local community foundation. NWACF will offer support for more complex gifts and will be able to aid the local foundation with promotional advancement and grant seeking.
Gravette Community Foundation & You
The success of this organization depends on the public’s perception and confidence in its leadership. Decisions will be made that will undoubtedly shape the future of Gravette. Board members will call on you for advice and participation in order to stay in tune with the needs of the community at large
