116th Annual Gravette Day
“The Grass is Greener in Gravette”

This year’s theme represents the hope and fortitude of our community despite these challenging economic times. Time and time again Gravette’s determination to overcome any challenge facing it shows the dedication of it citizens and that though the sky may be cloudy, the “Grass is Greener in Gravette”!

2008’s Gravette Day, which marked its 115th year anniversary, was the first year of a new layout in Kindley Park and until the torrential downpour of afternoon showers, a great success. 2009’s layout will be very similar but space will still be limited. Shaded areas will be provided for Arts & Crafts vendors, stage participants, and those wishing to enjoy the great food.

As is customary, there will be a Kiwanis sponsored pancake breakfast in the morning, a grand parade at the Noon hour, lots of games, and good food throughout the remainder of the day. Also featured this year will be a variety of talented acts, a beauty pageant for various ages, and a live musical performance by the band “Take Cover”.

The Greater Gravette Chamber of Commerce greatly appreciates the local support for this event. There is a hope that everyone will find a way to be involved and make this the best celebration yet! For those who would like to be involved but will be unable to participate in any of the activities, the Chamber welcomes any and all financial support.
